Let’s find out how to delete the Windows10upgrade folder to recover disk space? Microsoft updates Windows 10 regularly. It’s the most used operating system in the world and so, it requires constant updates to features, security, performance, etc.
There are many ways to update your Windows 10 computer. One way is via the Windows Update Settings page and the other uses the Windows 10 Update Assistant. The latter creates the “windows10upgrade folder” in your C:\ drive.
Generally, the first option is quite simple. It allows you to regularly check and update your system automatically. However, sometimes Microsoft rolls out particular updates in phases. So, not everybody in the world might get the latest update as soon as it is available.
If you don’t want to wait, you can use the Windows 10 Update Assistant. It allows you to download and install the latest version of Windows 10. When you do so, it creates a Windows 10 upgrade folder in your C:\ drive.
After the upgrade, you can safely delete this folder to free some disk space. But, you can’t just send it to the recycle bin. There are steps you need to take to remove it permanently.
